BUDAGHERS ESTATES

Budaghers, located almost midpoint between Albuquerque and Sante Fe just off of interstate 25 at Exit 287, is one of last last few places where you can still purchase land for bulding purposes.

This land was originally homesteaded by Joseph Budagher back in 1929. Joseph Budagher was an immigrant from Lebanon whose intentions where to follow his relatives to South America by stowing away on a boat. What Joseph did not realize is that he was on the wrong boat which ended up in Mexico. From there he went to New Mexico and Joseph owned a small store near Santo Domingo Pueblo, which was  major railraod hub and had a population of a few thousand people.
